I realize I've probably made to many threads as of lately, but I recently had another knee surgery and have nothing but free time on my hands. If it bothers you, I apologize.

All in all I just wanted to say THANK YOU very much for dedicating time to making this mod. I helped to mod a China Total War mod a while back and realize the massive amount of time and effort that must go in to coding, textures, maps etc...I can honestly say that this is one of the best, if not the best TW mods I've ever played. That means a lot coming from someone like me too. I've been playing the TW series since Shogun was first released, back in the day when I was around 11. It's my favorite video game series ever and really the only video game I've played consistently. Although I haven't tried every mod to have ever been released for all the TWs, I'd have to say that this mod, NTW (MTW 1) and the hellenic mod for MTW 1 are the best mods in the TW series. Maybe even Stainless Steel for MTW2, but that's mainly due to Lusteds AI for it. (Best AI in the TW series yet....alliances are actually kept for long periods of time) That also makes me curious as I never attempted messing around with any of the Diplomacy code for RTW, if it can be moded into MTW2 (Ie SS and lusted's AI) why can't it be done in RTW?

The general concensus is that diplomacy in R:TW games is that it's hard-coded and can't be modified in any way.

If you've got time on your hands try and find some MP opponents. If you've never played MP it's well worth the experience.

All of what you've said is very accurate, there's something about this mod which is just supberb, but I find it's difficult to pin it down to one thing in particular.

The diplomacy for RTW, however, is hardcoded and there's nothing that can be done about it. Maybe one day CA will release the source code, but until that day we're left with the Force Diplomacy script.

It bothers some people, but others just try to point you in the right direction which may come off as a little snarly sometimes. Hey offer your services to the guys, you never know.

But I really want to know what Lusted knows about the AI
