Default Another faction nearly as deep as Romans?

Just wondering if there was another faction nearly as detailed/deep as the Romans in RS? I realize the name of the mod is Roma Serrectum, so the main focus of the mod is on the Romans, I'm simply curious if another faction comes even close to the variety of units, buildings etc...I've only played as Greece and the Epirtos so far, other than the Romans that is and their units were much more limited. I love the depth of the Romans, the 35 Legions is an ingenious thing to incorporate into this amazing mod.

At the moment probably not, but with RS2 there will be many factions (Macedon, Seleucids, Ptolemies amongst them) that will have unit rosters and building trees to challenge that of Rome...even the Celts will have a much greater depth with a whole load of AOR tribal units where you will have to think "OK, so if I move in that direction I'll be against these guys but will have the option of recruiting these AOR units" - that sort of thing

There is not another faction as detailed as the Romans in RS1.5, which was not meant to really be historically accurate. I might say Carthage would be second?

Thats has been fixed for RS2 however

Carthage is indeed a close second.

They have a huge variety of troop types in their roster (African and Spanish units available from the start) and some special buildings and bonuses such as; execution squares, secret police buildings, various temples and lucrative trade caravans.

Rs1 was largely written to better represent the Romans.
RS2 will better represent all the other tribes and nations...and the Romans will be downright scary.

I took a little getting used to the caetrati's look, those helmets did seem a little comical at first. No such problem with the elite african infantry though.
Those boys are tanned and tough in their regal purple gear.

I have more trouble liking the Pergamese units, something about their regular hoplites doesn't sit well with me.

The Greeks are grand, with their various city hoplites including those badass Spartai, phalanx and sword hoplites. The Cavalry is pretty handy too. What happened to their noble cavalry though? they're stuck with Makedonian style companions now. Also, the heavy peltasts could do with being refitted. They are too weak as they are. It'd be great if they were more like the Libyan spearmen or the Pergamese fellas, with better armour and arms.

Can't really wait to play as the Spartans and liberate Greece, burn Pella to the ground(revenge for Thebes). Then capture Italy and burn Rome to the ground(becouse... ).
