Medieval 2 1.03 Mod Difficulties

I'm having a problem with mods. I thought it was just one mod (DLV), but I've installed another to see if I could just play that instead and the same exact thing happens. I have no problems playing the Grand Campaign vanilla version, however.

Here's the issue: I load the game, and the Shell opens up, as well as the keyboard shortcuts screen. This stays here for about three seconds, and then my game goes to a loading screen, and it auto-loads the last save game.

I've reinstalled mods, I've reinstalled the game, I've tried patch 1.02 and 1.03, and I get the same exact results every time. The only time it didn't do this was when I didn't save the game. As soon as I created a save game (not autosave), the error occurred.

I get no error message, just repeated loading screens. It takes about ten seconds after the first load, and then it loads again. Over and over again.

Any help would be awesome.

I would have searched, really, but I wasn't sure what it was I should search for. So thank you for the help.
