    Default Kingdoms keeps crashing

Whenever an event happens during a battle (Enemy general killed, gates broken open... etc), the entire game crashes, and I get an error message - "an unspecified error has occured, will now close"

I tried reinstalling all the kingdoms campaigns, they all still keep crashing.

What am I going to do? Win every battle without ever killing a general, or losing mine, and never breaking down a gate or a wall?

Disable the cutscenes in the medieval2.preferences.cfg file.
    It's a Vista bug.

Did you read the thread at the top of this forum on M2TW and Vista? Did you search for virtual store?

Vista? If so it's under virtualstore and not the game folder.

Sorry for being so dense, I ran a search for "virtual store", and then just "virtual", still found nothing. Where would I find it?

Go to the classic view of CONTROL PANEL
    Open FOLDER OPTIONS
    Choose the View tab
In the Advanced settings select "show hidden files and folders"

    Now you can navigate to:

    C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\

Check only in line who DarK_RTW describe not to any mod cfg.

    There in the section [game]
you shall found the line event_cutscenes = 1.
    Make the 1 a 0.

Remember to backup first of course.
