conquer settlements very fast, its like rts 'rush'
Blitzing comes from the German word "Blitzkrieg".
It basically means that you attack your enemy with such speed and in such manner that he has no time to prepare for defense and thus ist overpowered by your forces very quickly.
In Medieval II campaign game the AI usually takes some time to build up its empire. So if you lead an assault on AI factions during the first 10 turns oder 20 turns of the game, conquering as much as you can, it's called "blitzing".
It usually goes with the negative implication that you basically exploit the limits of the weak AI and make your campaign less fun by doing so.
From the pride and arrogance of the Romans nothing is sacred. But the vindictive gods are now at hand. On this spot we must either conquer, or die with glory (Boudiccas Speech, Tacitus, Annals, XIV, 35)
under Patronage of Emperor Dimitricus, Granddaughter of the Black Prince.
Thanks for the replies.
@ Mega Tortas well im kinda done both but my current plan is Greyhound. Im playing the English i Took Rennes , Brughes and the 3 Scottish provinces in the first 5 turns.
Now im going to build up my empire and get alot of alliances , got 7 already with trade rights. Then hopefully destroy France and Ireland. Then Turtle again then Go for Spain and HRE.
On a Side Note ive noticed a very anoying problem just now.
Im currently being attacked by France in Rennes and Brughes. As soon as i start battle all the french drop controll of there Tower,Ladders and Ram and fall back about 200 metres and just stand there.
I sent out my archers and started attacking to intise them to attack but they just stood there and died as a result i got a Heoric victory without a single loss in my army. Then the same happened in Brughes and again i won with no losses and my 5 peasant archers took out about 600 men.
Is this normal or a bug? Its making defending very easy. at this rate ill be able to defend against full stacks with just 4 longbowmen or have fun target practice with a ballista![]()
Wizav85 .......In my experiance the AI's like a pot luck dinner. It could be Great or it my send you scrambling for Burger King. Perhaps some others could shed more detailed thoughts on the subject. Since your off to a good start here's some +Repto help you on your way. AI battle behavior is not one of my strong suits.Whenever you have questions please ask and one way or another We'll get you squared away......
No Worries...P.S. What you described is about the way the AI behaves for me too.

Or a very fast war against the AI.
Blitzt the Scots today, 3 Settlements in 2 Turns, and I fought William Wallace. Scotts are dead now.
Wizav85,
Additionaly some use the term "Greyhound" (well, me I guess). Please check out "Greyhound or Turtle" by someguy named Mega Tortas. You'll probably find it on page 2 0r 3. There's lots of good contributions by over thirty players.
Don't Blitz it's no fun killing Farmers with Tiger Tanks!Let us know if we can help you out with other stuff....
