CTD during gameplay, mod or not

I keep getting an error message randomly while playing. Mod or not, doesn't matter.

Sometimes it works and stays on, other times it does it as soon as I click something.

I get a black screen, but can't see the message, so I have to press enter to get out. The times I manage to get to desktop and see the error message, all it says is:

Runtime Error.

At least, it has that in it.

Runtime errors IIRC are in memory being read and trying to execute some piece of code that is missing, corrupted or otherwise mishandled by the system.

Is your video an onboard chipset? Do you have the latest drivers and updates for XP, video card, directx to 9.0.c, .Net framework 3.5, and your sound?

Do you have M2TW updated to 1.2?

It's updated to 1.3

Also, during my last playing of the game, it didn't mess up.

It's just one of those random glitches, then. Just save alot. This game even at 1.3 is still buggy.

Just got another crash. Exact same thing as the past one million times, so I guess it's another "Runtime error."

Does anyone know what causes runtime errors other than things out of date? I'm sure all my stuff is updated, so I've no idea what could cause it.

Edit: And it's only happening for this game. All other ones are fine.
