Problem with princess traits on marraige

This is the second time that one of my princesses with the "fertile" trait and over 5 hearts married and her husband got some version of the "WifeIsInBarren" trait line.

I also seem to be having a disturbing number of generals without wives. Where is the event that controls a wife being offered so I can check it out?

I've checked the fertility issue. I guess the triggers could use a little change.

And about those marriages then we can't really do anything.

Re princesses being infertile or barren.

only reduces chances of children - I had a princess marry into my family - she was infertile - but she and her husband had 4 children.

others seem perfectly OK and have none.

best way of increasing your chances of children is to keep your general and his wife in a secure settlement for a long time. Don't get too many chances to make babies if the general is off on campaign all the time.
