Why John Stewart is one of the greatest men on American Television

Just watch this, and you will see something. He is not being political but you start to see his views on America and what he thinks it stands for.

He may be Juvenille at times (according to his own admission) but when it matters he pulls through.

Anyways he is far better for getting a news analysis than many of the professional groups and studies have found that those who watch his show are more knowledgeable about the news and politics than the average person.

They air the shows over here something like a day after they first went on in the US. Though you can see it on the CNN, but meh they interject with commercials every second.

But yes I think he's great, not that funny, but pretty interesting in his own way.

The show is funny, but he's not as good of a host as Colbert is.

The biggest issue I feel with the colbert report and the daily show is how openly they throw aside neutrality and spend the majority of their time insulting republicans. Of course one can say that they make fun of hillary and Obama as well, but at the same time they show support and their jokes are generally very light hearted. Most of all the rudeness they put forth to anything republican is a insult.

he said once before that they make fun mostly on Bush because he and his minions do so many absurd things that they present easy materials for comedy.

he also said if in 08 a democratic party government is in power and does same amount of stupid things, his show would do the same.

but he said it's kinda hard to ever top Bush administration in terms of screwing up.

^^^ that's always been one of my problems as well. They try to say their just picking on them cuz their in power, but the bias shines right thourgh. Stewart trying to claim he's not political or biased is as bad as O'Rielly.

He's okay, most of the time i like his correspondents more than him...and his show was better in the past as most shows are...


but people who watch his show to get the news scare me. I watch his show and the colbert report, they dont report the news at all, infact they frequently leave out important bits, sometimes the entire context, just for a cheap joke.

i cant imagine how people who watch this show alone could be well informed.

Look, republicans are just so damn easy to make fun of. The are puckered up so tight you just cant help but poke fun at them.

Its no doubt that Stewart is more left leaning, but he has said himself, he supports no party, just individuals.

For what its worth, the show was much better in the early days when Craig Kilborn hosted it. Then Colbert and company took over.

watch some of his interviews, he has many times tried to say that he has no political bias on his show.

Jon Stewart has some liberal biases, but its hardly significant compared to other media outlets. Hell, he has had the Republican nominee on his show how many times now? Stephen Colbert's show is actually a hell of a lot more biased than Jon's is.

The "Stop hurting America" interview he does on another show was great. I forget the name of the show, but it shut down after he basically ripped apart the hosts, who were clowns.

I like his show, but he should joke about democrats too, they have plenty of material as well. It's no surprise though, he has a younger audience, and Democratic party is more appealing to his audience.

The democrats are not in power thus they don't have as many screw ups or get as much heat.
