    People will believe a lie because they want it to be true; or they're afraid it's true.
    Given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe its true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

    I've had a look at the folders for RTW BI - there is no such sub folder as 'kill zone'. I checked both the Data and BI/data folders.

    I also did a search for 'wooden_wall_short_straight' in the name and there is no such file.

    My install is from a disk (either store or internet store purchased).

    Maybe, that's the best way to go.

    How much are they charging for the game?

    OK, I did a text search for "wooden_wall_short_straight_destroyed_kill_zone_05" and found two files that contains the text;

    data\descr_building_battle\ddb_walls_barbarian.txt and data\descr_building_battle\ddb_walls_wooden.txt

    These files are both within the main game folder and not in the bi\data folder. The following is an extract from the first file;

    Code:
    		transition ; damaged to destroyed
    		{
    			duration 120
    			kill_zone 5 wooden_wall_short_straight_destroyed_kill_zone_05.CAS
    			physical_switch 30
    			item barb_wooden_short_straight_destroyed_static
    			{
    				0 enable
    				120 disable
    			}
    			item barb_wooden_short_straight_destroyed_anim
    			{
    				0 enable
    				0 anim 50 0 5
    				0 dust_anim 30 0.6 2 2 0 3
    				120 disable
    			}
    Elsewhere in the file there is an entry for "wooden_wall_short_straight_damaged_info.CAS" - I did a search for that file and it doesn't exist.

    I don't know enough about the game but I don't think R:TW uses 'compressed' files as M2:TW does - where you have to 'unpack' a file to get at the individual files.

    So, the mystery continues.

    You've not modded the game in any way?

    The use or discussion of methods of circumventing copyright protection (cracks etc.) is prohibited under TWC's Terms of Service. My advice to Snowball is to buy the game. Hey Presto! All problems resolved.
