Default Might I Ask for Some Clarity?

First off, Rio VII is the current version, yes?

Now, I am expecting it to be a mod-switch, much like IBDF and IJ, am I correct?

Is the Justinian campaign finished or not? And that is simply added to the Rio folder, correct? How do you activate the campaign?

Sorry if I seem demanding, I remember playing Rio VI last year since IJ wasn't finished and IBDF was too unstable. I liked it, even though at the time I mentioned larger starting armies. I certainly want to give Rio VII a shot.

    Hi Rio,

I agree with him, it's extremely confusing to find which version of Rio's VII to download and install.
Sorry for this stupid question, but the mod switcher, is it for when you got several version of Invasio Barbarorum?
And one other thing: I had to install my Rome Total War in the "user" section of my computer and not in the "program/files" because I couldn't use Europa Barbarorum otherwise. Does it make any difference for your mod?

And by the way good job for your work, it looks (only looks for now...) great and surely is.

AymericNikator, welcome to our forums and thanks

:hmmm: Ok I understand. I try and think what it would be like the first time, or just being new and entering a forum and then trying to download the mod. It can be quite confusing. I tried to clear things up recently in the download section to make it easier..

Never a dumb question here to ask ok The mod switcher format allows you to download dozens and more mods in your rtw folder without copying over your original bi folder thus keeping your bi folder what we call a clean, unmodified version. The mod switcher creates a folder for the mod you are downloading(IBFD, IJ..etc..) within the rtw folder. I have a pic in the download section that will show you what your folder should look like after you downloaded the mod switcher. The Rio Mod switcher download instructions differs only in that you must manually make a copy of your original bi folder and then change the copied folders name to rio

The installer to the Rio VII Mod , VII Expansion and the Fixes patch are set up to install in your RTW folder...when activating the installer you will see the destination path. It will give you the chance to change the destination path. You may need to change this to where ever your copied bi folder that is now named rio is located.

Beyond Roman Glory is a new Mod coming out soon that will only require the Rio VII Flagellum Dei

Any questions feel free to ask....gl

Noticed Filefront can be confusing...I'm not able to delete some of those obsolete mods on their...I'll put in the dl section the exact upload site so people will not have to fish through filefront looking for the proper mod

    From the Downloads forum section

    Mod Switcher Instructions
To play the Rio IBFD VII Flagellum Dei mod then with the new Rio IBFD VII Expansion:
1 clean 1.6 bi. Within the rtw folder copy the bi and change the copied bi folder to rio
2 dl Rio VII flagellum Dei and install it. It will automatically install in the rio folder.
3 dl Rio VII Expansion and install it. It will again automatically install in the rio folder.
    4 dl the fixes(modswitcher version)

An issue noted is from for people changing their installers destination for reasons due to having RTW Gold Edition. When changing the installs path:
wrong way is: Rome - Total War\rio
correct way: Rome - Total War

Unfortunately there is a chance that the xcopying files for the mod switcher may not to work, (Vista windows or something else)thus, the rar non mod switcher version is recommended

So all the downloads outside the specific non-mod-switcher are mod-switches, correct?

And thank you for helping me.

Yes I made an alternative non modswitcher for those who have issues with xcopying files or some other problem that may interfere with setting up a modswitcher. But it should be a last resort. We want players to have the ability to play many different mods(mod switchers) without taking up additional space from within their rtw folder.

Remember with the rio mod switcher: Within the rtw folder copy the bi folder and change the copied bi folder to rio before installing anything

Great! Remember got the Beyond Roman Glory Mod coming out soon ...It will need the Rio VII Flagellum Dei to copy over witch in your case your all set. It will go right over the newer files from the Expansion and fixes too so no worries for those who download the Expansion with the fixes
