I was wondering if much of the reference art posted for the faction units were Osprey art. If that is the case, do you know of anywhere I can browse this stuff? Very beautiful artwork and I see it all over the place, but no collection of it.

I've taken to ordering them on amazon, usually you can find cheaper versions that are 'gently used.'
Check out google books as well, sometimes they have many pictures scanned and you can take a peek.
http://www.ospreypublishing.com/ then look for what interests you on google and amazon. I have too many Osprey books. They're good for introductory historical blurbs and of course the plates...

This forum is littered with Osprey scans...Its like half the book shops in my area...so many, but not enough. That and they are pricey. The only one I have is one on the Spartans and that's a school book
Who cares if we don't learn from History, its bloodly interesting.
Too much weird stuff happens for god not to exist

Sorry, I missed the actual question here. Yes, Osprey inspired a whole lot of BC units. Angus Mcbride's (RIP) portrayal medieval muslim, byz, latin and steppe warriors are second to none and many of BC's best units are directly inspired by Osprey: Khorasani elite, Daylamis, Persian lancers, elite Mamluks, Qara Ghulams, Khwarzemian cats, some ghulams, ere med swordsmen and katas and clibs, Faris, Abna, Turkomans, kypchaks, etc etc etc.
All heavily influenced by Osprey and Mcbride.
Miraj, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you PM a link to that .zip file when/if it's uploaded?
Sure.

(Its clickable by the way....An S2 overhaul mod.)
Seriously. Click it. Its the only overhaul mod that's overhauling enough to bring out NEW clans

That's in the Bible!
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
This question just came to me when looking through an Osprey book. I know that the Hospitallers wore the red tunic w/ white cross and the black tunic w/ white cross; my question is why does the black tunic w/ white cross get the most use? Did they were that combo more? Did they only were the red and white in the infancy of the order or what?
