Re: can't start rome total war
Do you have the same problem with other games? Did it work okay before you loaded the last mod? Did you change any hardware or software?

Re: can't start rome total war
I do not have this problem with other games. It worked okay before the mod. After Rome total realism it wasn't the same though. That was the start of the end i think. But i have completly erased and reinstalled the game countless times, sometimes it will work for a little then it always stops working.Even if it does it takes forever to start.

Re: can't start rome total war
Did you use the uninstaller or try to manually uninstall it? Did you delete the RTW folder(s) afterwards? Did you clean the registry of RTW and the mods?

Re: can't start rome total war
I manually uninstalled it and then deleted RTW folders afterwords.I don't know what u mean by cleaning the registry of RTW and the mods,so i might not have done that. What is it and how do u do it?

Re: can't start rome total war
Go to www.eusing.com and download their free registry cleaner, install it, and run it. That should solve most of your problems.

Re: can't start rome total war
Well,i tryed to reinstall.I first inserted the disc, then waited about 5 minutes while the little light under the CD drive told me it was thinking.I then tryed to start it manually by going into my computer right clicking on the CDrom drive and pressing auto run,i then waited about 5 more minutes , nothing happened, then I opened the game up to its files on the CD rom drive and pressed launch waited about another 5 minutes and still nothing happened.I am wondering if I will ever be able to play my beloved Rome total war again. What is happening?

Re: can't start rome total war
It sounds like a bad disk. Are there any scratches on it? If so, contact Sega for a peplacement.

Re: can't start rome total war
I belive u using windows XP and i dont think u deleted all files( im prrety sure u have 1 or 2 files left in Windows/Prefetch)The best way to locate them would be go start/Search/All Files and Folders/ and type for search Rome TW and delet them.If this wont work for u heres a full unistall and just follow the steps and it will give you 100 % fixed on ur problem.
1) Click Start then Run.
2) At the prompt type: REGEDIT. The registry editor will open.
3) Click the "+" next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
4) Click the "+" next to SOFTWARE.
5) Click the "+" next to The Creative Assembly
6) Right-Click to delete the The Creative Assembly entry.
7) Click the "+" next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
8) Click the "+" next to SOFTWARE.
9) Click the "+" next to The Creative Assembly
10) Right-Click to delete the The Creative Assembly entry.
11) Close the registry editor.
Once the registry keys are removed, we'll need to remove the game files from your hard drive. These instructions assume you've installed the game in the default directory.
1) Double-click My Computer.
2) Double-click the C:\ drive.
3) Double-click Program Files.
4) Double-click Total War
4) Right-click on the Rome: Total War folder and choose delete.
Remove the RomeTW.ini file from your hard drive.
12) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders.
13) Search your C:\ drive for a file named RomeTW
14) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS.
15) Delete this file.
16) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system.
