One of my favourite rock sub genres. I have way too many good bands to list right now

Now this is my kind of thread! I love all kinds of psychedelia, the music, films, design, anything from this period but in my view the '65-'70 period was the greatest era for music of nearly all types. Just wish I'd been born 15 years earlier then I would have experienced it in my prime & not as very vague childhood memories as now.

13th Floor Elevators - You're Gonna Miss Me!!! That tune is the real deal!!!
Pink Floyd (Syd Barret era)Especially Relics and Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
Paintbox:
Remember A Day:
Inerstellar Overdrive(part 1):
Inerstellar Overdrive(part 2):
Careful With That Axe Eugene:
It looks bad in the newspapers and upsets civilians at their breakfast...
The 13th Floor Elevators kick much ass.

@ Iustinianos, you just reminded me I forgot to put Barrett-era Floyd in my first post...
My favourite is 'See Emily Play'
I must recommend White Noise (check the first post) for something similar.
I like Candy and a Currant Bun and Vegetable Man - Barrett getting wacky with the studio effects.
I like Barrett era Floyd but I'm more of a Garage man myself - stuff like the Elevators, the Electric Prunes etc. I'm also partial to a bit of British Freakbeat like The Eyes and Creation.

Depends how much I like your opinions.
Such a loss of talent in the '70's. Tragic.

I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
Jugband Blues
Arnold Layne
And I recently posted "Interstellar Overdrive" (one of my favorites) in the "I'm currently listening to" thread
But the 2 parts Iustinianos posted are really good. Going up to almost 17 minutes![]()

TERMINAL BOREDOM "An nescis, mi fili, quantilla prudentia regitur orbis?"
@ Iustinianos:
Amen to that brother. Love The Floyd from start to finish. They were brilliant for psychedelia up until Barrett left, as for afterwards I liked Atom Heart Mother but Ummagumma was terrible with the exception of Grantchester Meadows.
Barrett's own stuff is epic too, particularly 'The Madcap Laughs'.

Early Floyd and acid go together like peaches and cream.

I disagree. Ummagumma was terrible with the exception of "Careful with that Axe, Eugene".
Rush: How could you leave out the Beatles first and most psychedelic track, "Tomorrow Never Knows"?
Not to mention other jems from Revolver: "She Said She Said" and "I'm Only Sleeping"
