Default Differences between Szlachta, Szlachcic and Starosta

I noticed the "Szlachta of Krakow" retinue. I think it is mistake, because:
    1) Szlachta means all noblemen, but a single one is called Szlachcic
    2) Since the Szlachta wasthe lowest and poorest rank of polish nobility, the real administrative rulers of Krakow and other Polish provinces (including Galicia and Bukovina under German rule) must be called Starosta generalny or simply Starosta.

The Starosta was a royal official, there were several types of them. Starosta generalny was the official in administration of a province - either the representative of the King or Grand Duke or a person directly in charge.

Szlachta is plural version of Szlachcic i'm polish so i now that. Szlachcićis higher than Starosta to be szlachcic you mast have nobel orgin. to be starosta you can be even burgher(townsman). But starosta was creadted in XIV century. Before starosta rank was wojewoda or soltys. its depend on large of city.
