Just started playing BC

Hello everyone I just started playing BC after having it recomended to me by someone from here. I was playing along I kept thinking why the hell did you add cash scripts to the AI? Thats just insulting the AI programmers at CA. The AI does not need cash scripts and its very well done... why would you just insult them like that? How would you like if it someone said something bad about your mod? CA should really ban you guys from making mods. Theres plenty of developers out there who don't just insult them like that in such a direct way. At least CA can make a game that doesn't crash every 5 seconds. The game is also way inhistorical. For instance the Abassids didn't use those infantry at that time! What are you stupid? I can't believe I can't even make a decent infantry force as them unlike the other factions (who get a extra cash as well as I mentioned earlier which is totally cheating). Also the amount of bugs in this is terrible... why can't you guys spend a little more time and make this more stable. Its not that fricken hard. Just as I was about to get crushed because of this ridiculous cash script and historical inaccuracies (who the hell has heard of Georgia anyway? I'm sure you guys made that up) my game crashed to bluescreen and it turns out your mod fried my graphics card and blue sparks flew everywhere!!! I DEMAND A REPLACEMENT. No where did you write anywhere that this mod will kill your graphics card and I certainly would not have downloaded it had I known. How the hell am I even supposed to play this mod without a graphics card!!? You guys can't even think that one through. comon! Why the hell did that dumazon recommend this mod to me... this is the most overhyped and worst mod ever. I don't see why anyone would like this. Sorry about my poor english. It is not my first language.

OK, lets go through that mass of text one point at a time...

1. Cash scripts: I wasnt aware there were cash scripts in the game, so I'm not gonna go into much more detail about it. However, whatever they've done works, because I feel challenged by the game in general.

2. Insulting CA: I have no idea what you are talking about. The whole point of a mod is to make changes to the game, for whatever reason. I dont see how CA could be offended by BC, not least because its brilliant.

3. The "unhistoricalness" of the game: I'm not a historian, and I'm not bothered about how historical the game is, but nevertheless, the BC have always said that game play comes first, historical content second. This is why, for example, the ERE have no horse archers.

4: Bugs: It has a few bugs of course, but then again so did vanilla. I think that when a group of volunteers work hard for a long time to give you something for nothing you should be a bit more grateful. Everything has bugs, thats what patches are for so stop acting like you're owed something.

5: The existence of Georgia: Dont be stupid...

6: Demanding a replacement graphics card: See my response to number 5.

I suppose what I'm trying to say here is that you should show a little more respect to a team of capable modders who have worked very hard to create what I would call a completely new game, a complete departure from the vanilla. They did all this simply because they wanted to, and did it for free. Whats more, they then released it to the public, letting everyone share their hard work for free. Its fair enough if you dont like the mod, no mod is universally loved, but show a little respect. You havent payed a penny or worked for it at all.

How am I supposed to take a screenshot of a bluescreen? I don't have a camera and I'm not exactly going to waste another graphics card on your mod so I can't show you the blue sparks. This is all very nice for you to say but your not the one who has to go to a library to use a computer because his graphics card got killed by a mod. I might be wrong about georgia though.

Impossible! I've been playing regular m2tw and other mods for ages now. As soon as I opened up BC for the first time I got a warning saying that my my graphics card isn't getting enough power and the nVidia contol panel is adjusting to compensate. I've never encountered this error before so it must be something to do with the BC mod. My graphics card died at the exact same time I pressed ok on the muslums have captured delhi event so I guess it must be something to do with the way they coded that event. Maybe they will fix it in the future but it doesn't help my dead graphics card which I seriously want replaced. Thanks for the info on Georgia. Sorry didn't know about it.

Lol I hope you aren't being serious in with this thread, because BC is probably one of the best mods around for med 2 and the team did it all for free. Then you say it's insulting to CA that some people actually make medieval 2 more challenging, interesting, fun etc. Without mods, like these I would have put med 2 + Rome with the garbage. And you are telling the team that the mod is full of bugs and ctd's, then it seems you didn't play medieval 2 at all because releases were so buggy it was almost unplayable and it took way too long to get it fixed. I don't think you are good informed about computers because it seems impossible that this mods make your graphics card gets broken. If you're angry because it is broken, you shouldn't be blaming thismod or the creators. I hope you think a bit more before you make another thread.

Well I know that it was the mod that caused my graphics card to die. I don't just get errors for no reason and then it die at the exact same time I click something for no reason.

Also, it's pretty unreasonable to want the BC team to replace your card. No matter whos fault it is, they arent responsible for you hardware.
