    Default DLV5.6 and Vista?

    I downloaded DLV5.6 and much to my dismay it does not seem to work on Windows Vista. It crashes (exits) before it even gets to the Main Menu.
    I saw some of the fixes for the previous versions and Vista but it was a bit unclear which fix is appropriate for DLV5.6.
    any help would be greatly appreciated. It looks like a great mod.

    I'm Running the mod on vista home premium 32 bit and it's working relatively fine. I had the same problem, all i did was:

    -for vista problem: open DLV_ext.cfg in path C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War and change the parameters to: then restart the game
    [video]
    widescreen=0
    movies = false
    [game]
    allusers=1

    That and it worked fine... Allusers was already at 1 all i changed was the widescreen and it worked... funny... hope it works for you.

    Yeah I had tried that but it did not fix the problem. Thank you for your help anyway. Shame I can't get it to work. Looks great from what I can tell.

    Hi,

    Yes, that's right : It works on vista 32.

    widescreen=1 : works too, it' recommended for playing game in 16/9 format.

    I'm playing on Vista (64 bit even, for double the incompatibility issues) but everything seems to be working fine.

    hold on... u guys play dlv on vista and your campaigns dont get a repeatable crash somewhere during your campaigns? I played 2 campaigns on 5.4 and 2 on 5.5 all four crashed (and did that over and over) and I heard repman saying something about that vista memory leak, anyway has something changed with 5.6 (been gone for some time, harry didnt liked my bc sig so he banned me for a while ) or is it possible to change something to make it more vista friendly?
