I was wondering, should I destroy all non Roman buildings in towns I capture, and why?

Well, i think that some buildings may not let you create your units. One building like this is the barbarian shooting range. I'm sure there is other but you might also want to erect your own temples instead of the enemy factions.

Anyone else destroy all non roman or whatever nation you play as buildings?
Normally seen, Maxaminus, you can just build the next building level in the building browser over the old one.
I almost always destroy temples, but not if I can build a Roman one over it.
And treasures ofcourse.
Vale,
Well I tend to destroys EVERY SINGLE TEMPLE when I captured a City and left the rest intact. If the city is a GAllic/German one, I also destroy the bardic circle (have negative bonus if I'm not mistaken)

The same her, destroying all Temples(not those you could build Roman over) and bardic circles as it do have quite a large negative effect upon the population.

I like keeping them. Its just interesting when you have a bardic circle in the battle map of a roman city with huge walls.
Replacing foreign buldings with your own culture's buildings over time lessens the cultural penalty that can be so crippling to province loyalty

Yes, exactly what i do. Also, i don't like most of the other factions temples as they disrespect the real gods!!!!! What would Jupiter think!!! The only building i keep is the treasury until... i have a good public order in that town
I destroy all... unless it's a huge city, or capital, and I dont have a general or governer with lots of management attributes. In those cases, I'll just destroy the main temple at first, and throw up a temple of Jupiter.
I'll build up my temple to the 3rd tier, then start destroying the rest of the place as long as I stay in the green/yellow happiness level.
I destroy temples even if I can upgrade them to my own temple - I like to build the temples that give a 'health bonus' as I think this helps the settlement at larger sizes.
Certain faction buildings (secret police network) will give a negative impact on the settlement so they are destroyed.
If there is a blacksmith (or upgraded version) in the settlement and there is no iron resource then that building is destroyed.
Sometimes I will destroy the barracks if I want to build my own. I don't think that there is any advantage to doing that as the original building doesn't have a negative effect. Late in a campaign when I am taking over well established settlements (everything has been built) I will destroy the high level buildings and replace them one at a time. I prefer to see all the high level buildings for my own culture rather than barbarian.
I do try and make sure that I have a garrison army (usually full stack cheap units) with a semi-decent governor to occupy the town ASAP. Over time I will reduce the garrison force.
