Who should i play as?

Aragon...their starting position is very cool, and their units differ enough from Leon-Castille and Portugal to be unique. Plus, their bodyguards just look awesome.

Ireland, somewhat unique, small and fun rooster, and a starting position that's perfect for creating a big evil empire! At least I usually end up doing a high dread campaign when I play them.

You have to go with Novgorod just because it is a hard faction to play.
hard to defend and you get the added bonus of beign the coolest color on the map.

You should try the Templar campaign, it's awesome. It's really challeging and fun. If you're tired of the European factions and want something new the Knight Templar are the best.

Ireland as you have a good starting position,you can storm Bruges and Antwerp if your quick enough and you can always get a foothold in Wales and there is a great selection of troops(Muire and upgraded Ulster Swordsmen pwn anything).....and im not just saying it because of patriotism!

I recommend Lithuania, it's really fun being Pagan and struggling to survive when surrounded by Christian factions. They get nice units and really nice skins.

Yeah I'm the same way! I watch something on England I wanna be them, I see something with Frane I wanna be France, I see Templar Videos I wanna be them ohhh gosh its hard to stick with one faction! I've only done it once with the Byz.

I picked my last faction solely based one one thing. I hadnt heard anything about them, or thought about them at all recently. Seljuk turks.

Sidenote: it's hard taking castles with horse archers. I've done it exactly once.

Byzantium! They rule, and they have some of the best infrastrucutre use them, they are very good, with insane units! And the first flamethrowers! The Greek Fire!!! Whot its a lot of fun!

Scotland. If you are looking for a unique experience, relocate to Egypt. Nothing like fighting infidels with hordes of highlanders.

Yes, Scotland is damned great, that's for sure.
I just adore their deep scottish accent, sounds quite epic
Plus, it's a really difficult campaign, because englies really get in the way of creating the mighty empire

Come now, you dont need anything but mailed knights and feudal knights. And Highlander archers are awsome for picking off thoose pesky bugger horsearchers.

England, there longbowmen can destroy an army before it even gets to you . not to mention once you secure the British isles you've got an economic power house that can finance an army to conquer the whole world

Well, with the quantity of settlements that englies allow me to conquer without waging war with them, i just can't afford the recruitment of these guys you mentioned)

Hungary (just a little biased) or Aragon. Hungary gets really good knights, Hussars and awesome horse archers. Early infantry is a bit weak but gets better quickly. But that's what your horse archers are for. You have Catholics on your western borders and Orhtodox and Muslims to the east making it easy to war and expand without having to worry about the pope.

Aragon has an excellent roster and good starting location. You can expand in the Med and go to war with the Moors. Dismounted Knights of Montesa are one of my favorites.
