    Default An Eagle of Rome

On my Syracusan campaign, i just captured a roman eagle.

It says that it has been taken to Croton.

Will someone tell me what this means exactly?

Most likeley your nearest settlement to where you stole it, and it will be most likeley scripted that the romans will relentlessly attack croton to take it back, An eagle lost in battle was a great loss for rome, it was seen as a insult, the legion that lost it would then be disbanded and disgraced

dunno if the AI really bothers with that. I know that if I lost a legionary eagle playing as Rome, I'd find where it had been taken and raze the settlement to the ground! NO ONE STEALS MY EAGLES!

Well when 4 stacks of Germans attack a single legion in the woods you are kinda outnumbered and you know it Happens.

If a general takes three eagles or less he gets a trait which I forgot the name at the moment.

Well It only happened to me once. I was already in a full retreat and there was one legion left going back towards the Rhine when I clicked the end turn I was attacked and slaughtered. It was Legio III Augusta and so the eagle was lost and I had to do an entire new invasion to take it back. ANd remember I was already in a retreat due to a Failed invasion so I had to figure out a way to get my legions back up to strength to go across the Rhine once more.
I learned my lesson after that.

I seriously suggested that the new faction in RS was going to be the Amoricans. They would be a small village in the North West of Gaul, with superhuman armies. I got slapped down for that one.

Would be absolutly awesome to see them, but i think "superhuman armies" are going to be a bit hard to balance out

Would be cool if you had a Asterix / Obelix general

You might create some units on your own and then release it, separate from the mod, so you can choose wheter or not you install/use it.
    Vale,

Aye just a non-playable faction that never left their own starting region, but were nigh on impossible to beat. Twould be awesome. Forget getting rome back to its orginial empire, the true master of the game would be the ones who took that tiny village in Amorica....
