Cant start new campaign

I just installed Kingdoms with the retrofit mod.
I had edited my descr_strat.txt file to unlock factions as follows:

I started the game (using both the vanilla and retrofit Kindoms exe), choose Single player, Grand Campaign, then select a faction (e.g. Scotland), tweak the settings and hit start, which takes me back to the Main options screen (Single player, Grand Campaign, etc).
It does NOT start the campaign and from this screen the Grand Campaign button is non functional.

Any help in getting campaigns working again would be greatly appreciated!

Only happens when you make an error in editing the desc_strat. A missing space, for example, or trying to play a country that's not supported.

Since you can't preserve the formatting when copying to this forum, we can't even tell you if it's wrong, nor can we give you the right one.

Is there any way to reinstall the original file without necessarily reinstalling the whole game?

Most definitely.
I didn't realize it was so character/case sensitive.

I went back and edited it back to original format by memory (I had only altered about 4 lines), and now its sorted.
