does anyone here still think the war in Iraq was a good idea?

i was just looking through the Political Profile thread and I see many people writing that they support the War in Iraq.

I just wanna know how many here still think the war was a good idea in the 1st place.

Personally, I support them staying there til they get the Iraqi government strong enough to control the country. But I still think they shouldn't have gone to Iraq in the 1st place.

We can't just leave it in its current state or we have failed as a nation. We've abandoned too many people to their fates already and I will not want us to allow millions of more innocents to die because of us.

List of some nations we abandoned:

South Vietnam
Afghanistan
Somalia
Rwanda (some bastian of good will, we ignored the butchering while it happened)
Darfur (we still ignore it)
Camboda
Laos
Iraq in '91 (we told the Shia to rebel and when we did we watched as Saddam slaughtered them)

Millions dead because we decided that they're lives were not worth as much as ares and threw them away after we were done using them.

Iraq is a very complex issue which many people simply dimiss as "there were no WMDs", and the kurdish genocide thing never happened ect.....

Anyway.... America sold Iraq chemical weapons in the 70s and 80s when they were at war with Iran, so we can't argue they didn't have them at one point, but there are negatives generated from a lack of Saadam in Iraq, like ethnic groups at each others throats and such.

Worse Case Scanerio: I use this analogy:

Iraq is like a knife in an arm: It shouldn't be there in the first place, but now that it is there you shouldn't pull it out until you can be sure of the results.
