Have you tried C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\saves?
Atleast, it works for me on Vista. :hmmm:

thats where it would be by default! Maybe you are looking in the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\saves not the in the mods for SS

this is vista related, just deactivate the UAC in the control panel in the accounts.

The folder Vista uses to virtualize changes to the Program Files folder is “C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\”, but may vary for non-English versions.

I'm having the same problem except there is no "saves" folder in mods/SS6.1 and "local" folder in C/user/name/

such a bad issue to have but don't worry about it ppl, I'll have to upgrade to 64 bit for performance and I don't care anymore about loosing my current campaign. Thanks for nothing!! just kidding.
