A challenging ... erm ... challenge

Perhaps it was just me, but I re-started this campaign three times and got pwned (whatever that might be) on each occasion.

I usually play quite conventionally and win quite comfortably. I thought I'd try for a slightly tougher game; I tried the Brittania expansion playing as Wales on the hardest difficulty settings for battles and gameplay.

Perhaps fittingly, I got Whaled by England no matter how many heroic victories I kept winning. He just has too many troops and I have too little money.

Can anybody out there win this scenario..? *throws gauntlet* *clunk* :hmmm:

try putting a small garrison of archers in each of your forts, and try to focus on taking out ireland as they are pretty easy

Secure the Irish mainland like he said, so if England end up destroying you in Cymru, you have a safe haven to retreat to. Once Ireland is taken, Hitting Scotland while they deal with the Norwegians is probably the best option.

England has more troops but it takes some time to deploy them against you. Start with taking the four border towns/cities. After that it usually easy to conquer Cornwall. Once south west England is secure you are unstoppable. Those Saethwyr are your best friend. Try to bring as many as possible with you. The AI will always attack when you outnumber them 1.2 to 1 with missile troops. So deploy your stakes and, have some spears and some light cavalry ready and shoot the English bastards to hell.
