Shogun treachery

Shogun doesn't work. It installs and runs, but when a Campaign begins the intro plays and then..."Shog_CPP has stopped working." And that's it. What the hell is this? Have I been betrayed by CA? I paid for this freaking game!

It's the Gold edition. The computer is running Vista. Radeon X850 graphics card.

Try running it XP compatible.

vista is notably crap for old games-try run as administator is xp compatibility fails..

That doesn't work.

I have discovered that if I set it to Software instead of Primary Display Driver, it works. Which means it is something to do with the relationship between my graphics card and Vista (because it never did this before I got Vista). And that's . It looks like with the Software display.

A lot of my old games quit working when windows quit supporting dos and the old dos drivers.
