Default McCain and his crazy super power God squad

John McCains spiritual adviser is a nutcase, he says America was founded to destroy islam.

Senator John McCain hailed as a spiritual adviser an Ohio megachurch pastor who has called upon Christians to wage a "war" against the "false religion" of Islam with the aim of destroying it.

    REJECT! DENOUNCE! RENOUNCE! REPUDIATE!

John McCains other pastor, John Hagee, continues to prove to the world what a loony bin he is. Hagee is the nutcase who said the catholic church is "the great whore" and new orleans deserved what happened to it because gays and abortionists in the city had angered God. He has refused to back away from these comments, repeating them multiple times.

HAGEE: All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are -- were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment. And I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.

    McCain has refused to...

    REJECT! DENOUNCE! RENOUNCE! REPUDIATE!

Black candidate + wacko black preacher = long, loud attacks
White candidate + wacko white preacher = silence

this covers preists, preachers, pastors, spiritual advisers, rabbis, cardinals and popes.
So they are all crazy. Seems to me theres only one crazy guy here and it aint them.

Not only did mccain manage to hitch a crazy pastor to him, he managed to hitch 2 of them. All of this after his now infamous "agents of intolerance" speech.
He didnt hitch any of them to him he accepted their endorsment. He does not endorse them Meanwhile Obama hitched himself to a church full of loonies and a loony wife. I think you already started another thread on this accusing him of being senile.

Uhh, McCain self described Rod Parsley as his "spiritual adviser".

How do we know they dont share views? How do we know mccain doesnt secretly believe that christianity was founded to destroy islam? Afterall if reverend wright must share views with obama then mccain must share political and social views with his self-described "spiritual adviser".

Also, obama recognized craziness when he saw it and he threw write under the bus. McCain still has these two loons on his bus and he doesnt seem worried about letting them loose either.

I think that speaks of his sinister intentions, he really wants to overturn roe v wade, discriminate against gay people, and destroy all muslims. His pastor and spiritual advisers said these things so he must believe them too.

He said America was founded 'IN PART' to combat Islam. He later wrote Christopher Columbus found America by looking for a trade route to Asia, a trip funded by Western Christian Europeans, the natural enemies of Islam. In this way, America was discovered because of the desire for Western Christians to become more powerful. You would know this if you followed the source for your website, which sourced another website, which sourced another website, which finally gave his explanation.

Which is a long way from him saying "America was founded to destroy Islam". The dangers of being spoon-fed paraphrased information...

I'm not saying he isn't loony (Katrina comments) but let's not misquote him...

I didn't mix anyone up. Parsley, I believe, made similar Katrina comments. I'm not taking about Hagee.

yeah, great, well rod parsley said Christianity must destroy islam and hagee has said new orleans was punished because too many guys were having anal sex and too many women were getting abortions.

Why did McCain pander to these agents of intolerance?

(rhetorical question, its because he's a big phony, a fraud)

I'll let you in on a little secret. The apostles were called to convert the masses. All true Christians are called to convert others to Christianity (which would destroy Islam).

A Christian calling for the destruction of Islam is not the same as someone who claims the US government invented AIDs to wipe out the black race.

And way to dodge my point about you completely misquoting him.

oh, im sure if it didnt come from the fat, loud mouth of rush limbaugh then you discount it as the "Drive by media" but take a look at this:

Senator John McCain hailed as a spiritual adviser an Ohio megachurch pastor who has called upon Christians to wage a "war" against the "false religion" of Islam with the aim of destroying it.

On February 26, McCain appeared at a campaign rally in Cincinnati with the Reverend Rod Parsley of the World Harvest Church of Columbus, a supersize Pentecostal institution that features a 5,200-seat sanctuary, a television studio (where Parsley tapes a weekly show), and a 122,000-square-foot Ministry Activity Center. That day, a week before the Ohio primary, Parsley praised the Republican presidential front-runner as a "strong, true, consistent conservative." The endorsement was important for McCain, who at the time was trying to put an end to the lingering challenge from former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, a favorite among Christian evangelicals. A politically influential figure in Ohio, Parsley could also play a key role in McCain's effort to win this bellwether state in the general election. McCain, with Parsley by his side at the Cincinnati rally, called the evangelical minister a "spiritual guide."
I guess you must approve of these endorsements as well, everyone on the right must approve because nobody has even bothered to whisper to mccain that these endorsements might actually come back to bite him on the ass.
