OK, earlier I started a game as Germany, 1936. I allied with Austria, so I never annexed the Austrians. Next, I allied with Hungary, and then annexed Czechs. Then the strange part: I allied Poland, and transfered their 72 division army to my western border. Then I allied with Romania, and pushed my Bulgarian and Baltic relations very high.
I then declared war on the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. Frankly, there were about 15 foreign divisions for every German division. I crushed Holland, and then stomped Belgium. I had a couple problems with France, but then I allied with Italy and forced them into Vichy.
Now what? My Italian allies appear to dominate North Africa (Well, they completely outnumber the British, and they have recently conquered a couple British territories.), my Romanian friends have a large army near the Soviet border, and the Poles, once they get back to Poland, will be useful in invading Russia. Should I attack Russia, the Baltic States, help Italy in North Africa, or conquer the Balkans (and potentially take over Turkey)?
By the way, I positioned my troops when attacking France as followed:
1 Romanian division (the only one they could spare without the entire Axis alliance being raped by Bulgaria or the USSR) helped attack Belgium
The Polish attacked the Netherlands first, and then Belgium, then France.
The Austrians mostly defended the area beside the Maginot line, but they also attacked Belgium.
Hungary focused on the Netherlands.
