maybe theyll tire themselves out, like a baby who makes a fuss before it falls asleep, if we just ignore it we can kick back on our hammocks with our mojitos all summer long.
summer is too hot for fighting, anyway, amirite?
Once again russia throws around its weight at the smaller countries. If it had enough guts, it would go agianst the illegal Chinese Lumber camps that sends the lumber back to china while lining the pockets of those in charge.
Its utterly disapointing.

Bullies generally only flex their strength when they know they can get away with it. China would be a very difficult enemy for Russia. Whereas, what can Georgia due? China and Russia seem to be enjoying closer and closer ties though these days it seems.
There's probably some seedy underhanded corrupt reasons going on as to why there's no response to deforesting Siberia.
If you know anything at all, you would know Russians live in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. And if you knew that then you would know they want to be Russian, not Georgian.
I miss the the time when Russia would kick Turkey's ass every 10 years and annex a piece of it. It would put you back in your place.
I'm pretty sure something will be reached without the Georgians being owned. So as for war this Summer; I really don't think so.

Well they have always hated each other. I can sit back in America as I doubt we'll enter another conflict during election season.
"July 14, 2008: I think this is a case where Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are fundamentally sound. They're not in danger of going under. They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

Floridans have been wondering what that "stink" is for a while now. It's emanating from Cuba.
Oh yeah, Cuba is interested in exploiting their oil now. Vive la Revolution, indeed.
Venezuela needs to be careful. They haven't finished importing their weaponry yet.And wars are bad for business. "Stink" for show, drill for dough.

Gee, I wonder if Russia will get even HALF the international backlash that the US does. There's always some complaint over Russian activity but it dies down. When you have troops that go into Chechnya and literally annihilate everything in their path but that's never brought up more than a week after it happened. But a Marine tossing a dog off a cliff or a dog being blown up atop an IED shows America's evil nature. Seriously, I used to wish we pursue things the way the Russians did. Like, you get hit by an IED you question the people they say they have no idea like usual, you warn them, you get hit by another IED in front of their village, you burn down their village. But we don't do that cause it's stupid, and it's not morally right. Russians do though, but no one cares cause they don't wear the daddy pants. Their like, the drunk Uncle of the family, you know Daddy's younger brother that's always trying to compete with daddy but spends most of his time at the racetrack or in Vegas, or the gutter.
i doubt that russia will go to war with georgia, too much to loose over what? They will be content to keep georgia outside of Nato.
I'm a bit worried about lebanon instead, i hope that things don't escalate and no one of our guys in the Unifil force get shot at, i really don't see how lebanon can recover from the current crisis, it seems that the various political parts don't want any kind of agreement on a new government![]()

"Out of every 100 men, 10 shouldn’t even be there, 80 are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior and he will bring the others back.” Heraclitus
Yeah, I understood your meaning. Not war on China by Russia. Siberia is being deforested and the lack of response is....interesting.![]()

Lebanon is a hotbed right now. I would hate to see any fighting start their because it will inevitably lead to Israeli involvement and that will lead to hezbollah getting involved yatta yatta yatta.
As far as the whole Russia thing, le tthem do what they want. they're only going to bring down international outcry and hatred towards them. The world does not smile upon imperialism this century. Russia is and always has been behind the times. It's time they caught up.
Georgia existed for thousands of years and still exists, while many great nations perished as rome, caliphate, aztecs and etc. We are hard fighters, the history shows, not me. and whether there will be this forum, russia or usa, my grandchildren will be washing their feet in Black Sea. and this is not just a post - It is willingness of my fellows to spend last drop, use last gold, invent best plot and do anything to keep us alive and happy instead of being established after medieval period as nations as most of Europe or just couple of hundred years like americans.
The fact is that its both Georgians and Russians who escalate the process. Even worse is the fact that leaders don't want to negotiate and use this conflict for their means. Saakashvili for elections, Putin for kosovo defeat.
By the way, there will be people dyeing if war will start. Actually who out of you experienced war on your skin to discuss it with such an enthusiasm? And I don't give a damn about international community for our protection, because I'm not a kid anymore to beleive that somebody will help you without asking lot more instead.
