    Default Miliband for Prime Minister

After watching Newsnight yesterday in which Miliband was on it, i thought he did brilliantly and even had Paxman with nothing to say.
Now a there have been a repeat of the murmurs that have been tipping David Miliband for the Labour Leadership again, and quite frankly i think he should become the next leader should Brown fail to win in 2009, what do you guys think is he capable and do you think that he will?

    Miliband......more like Milhouse.

Frankly none of the the current labour front bench is up to it, the best person for the job (from Labours POV) already has it which quite frankly is pretty dire. Perhaps if some of those champagne socialist backbenchers stood up to Brown for the leadership of the party last year, things might have turned out differently.

Well everyone wanted Miliband to stand but he wanted to see what Brown can do, as at that stage Brown wasn't Prime Minster yet and hadn't messed anything up.

Hopefully Brown will go soon enough. I'm not a man who loves domestic politics that much and I'm no lover of Cameron, but I'm sick to the back teeth of New Labour and I don't want to see them in power again.

As the former head of Tony Blair's Prime Minister's Policy Unit, I think he is the last person Labour needs to restore their fortunes.

Well he was head of policy from the first election in 97 until just shortly after the second one and i think we can agree that Labour was OK in its first term, so thats not exactly a negative. He was essential in the 97 win and in the first years of change.
