Part 1 installer always crashes

I downloaded it from Filefront and the RAR on separate occasions and have a clean install of Kingdoms 1.5 that is not in Program Files, but whenever I run the Part 1 .exe, it pauses at 4% (ram_v2_recover.cas) and then crashes at 5% (castle_gate_open.mesh); Vista always says it has stopped responding and closes the program.

sounds like the download was less than 100% perfect - not unknown with filefront and if you're using a download manager.

please try again and check download whilst in progress to see if any parts get missed.

I don't use any download managers and I've downloaded the installers on at least 3 separate occasions - surely it must have worked at least once if the download was to blame?
