Default Don't let the Cin-Ed ruin your game!

Last night I had to reinstall M2TW in its entirety because I realised I wasn't getting any historical events at all. After reinstalling, everything worked fine. I was getting all events again. Then this morning I tried to start a campaign this morning and had the same problem. The only thing I had done was to run the cinematic editor to get some shots for unit info cards. So I checked the cin-ed.cfg file and sure enough there was a line disable_events = 1! I changed it to 0 in the file as well as the stainless_steel.cfg file just to make sure

So if you use the cinematic editor at all, make sure your cin-ed.cfg file doesn't contain this line or you wont get any more events in your games. If you're having this problem, edit your stainless_steel.cfg and you'll get the events back.

Hmmm....i checked my cin-ed.cfg and events were disabled. But i was getting events in the game in 6.0...now that i have 6.1...i haven't seen any events et..and its been 30 or so turns.....well thanks for noticing...i guess it affects 6.1 and not 6.0..wierd

Yes I knew this already, everytime I use Cin-Ed I make a copy of my medieval.cfg file so I can replace it later, since Cin-Ed overights it

Another option is to change the Cin-Ed cfg file and make it just like you have your Medieval.cfg, this way you won't have any problems, however for video editing it may become unstable because of the resolution you play.
