Im getting an unspecified error before i go into a battle.

Everything else works fine except for before i go into a battle that i want to fight (NOT auto-resolve). So manual battles do NOT work but auto battles do...wtf? And furthermore, i think its only for seige battles.

I have the 1.2 patch. And im not using any mods.

You have to delete two geography files in your data folders after unpacking all of the files. Check the readme for the patch.

Cankles is most probably correct, as this is a common issue with unpacking.

Two files in your data folder with the terms 'geography' in their names need to be deleted.

I saw that before i posted this, but i double checked just to make sure...there are NO files with that name there....

I didn't see it in your first post, did you unpack? If so, you'll find the geography files in the data folder.

Even in 1.2 there are issues with battles that never got resolved including siege equipment, units of all types, walls, name it. You just maybe unlucky enough to find them.

Then do yourself a big favor and don't. It causes more problems than it's worth if you just want to play the game as it is. This way you don't have to worry about geography files either.

thinking of just uninstalling and getting rid of this game...why in the hell did i spend money on a game where i cant even enjoy the best parts?! its so annoying...i just made a sweet army and i cant even fight with it!

Uninstall the game, delete the Sega folder and reinstall the game. Then install patch 1.2 (skip 1.1) and try again. Make sure under video options your game resolution matches your desktop and lower all the setting you can.
