    Default Too much factions destroyed by rebels and a TK's immortals..

    I'm playing SS 6.1 and untill 50 turn I get 3 factions(Norway,Sicily,Portugal) destroyed very stupidly. All of them had a revolt in their capitals and their kings (or maybe some more generals died there) and next turn all their cities become rebel and faction become destroyed. As I often use toggle_fow, I saw a large garrison in their capitals so don't know why they revolted :hmmm: . The most stupid situation was with Sicily, 5 turns before death they made a succesful crusade on Sevile ( a porugese city in past, but it became rebel when their factions was destroyed by revels ) and had nearly 6-7 cities and large army and garrisons, but suddenly their capital revolted and their king died and what do u think? They got rebel too!!! I'm sure that their family tree wasn't annihilated by rebels in 1 city 'cause later I saw rebel sicilian army on their territories with rebel general, i think in previous turn he belonged to Sicily faction. Did anybody get the same problem?


    Also there is real immortal highlander in the game. His name is Jan and he is TK's bishop. He was old enough when i've started Late Era campaign and after 50+ turns he is still 60 and didn't get older . Whole TK kingdom was destroyed, every teutonic knight was executed by lithuanians, but he is still alive and he isn't going to die , because of him TK still has their short turn .

    The Teuton Knights can't die unless you kill every single one of their inhabitants(priests, merchants, spies etc). Why? They have no family tree :|

    i had the same problem whit denmark,can someone tell me how to change the rebel spawning so frequent

    I like SS, but I don´t like it when my generals screw up entirely. So when SS6.1 was out, I changed many of the percentages of the triggers for some negative traits. Now I seldom have any problems with unloyal generals etc., and so should the AI. The crazy thing is: Even with the changes, three factions were destroyed very early because of rebellions ( I use the "toggle_fow" also very often, I just like to compare my progress with that of the AI).

    Oh, he meant about rebels spawning in Capitals, well then, my bad

    The traits system is not responsible for the capitals going rebel, in 6.1 the Ai is excluded from this except for excommuinication triggers. It has to do with the garrisoning of cities, which is an Ai/EDU issue.

    Also just played 50 turns as England to test 6.1 and no faction has been destroyed yet.

    mmm I don't think that 1 or max 2 heretics on Sicilian lands could make a city with more than half stack of troops + 1 or more generals become rebel. In 6.0 I haven't have such problem, except revolting capitals, but troops were just kicked out of city and it became rebel, usually there were 1-2 units or a single general in settlement before revolt.

    I know at least one of the optional mods (maybe its grim reality?) has some harsh traits and loyalty issues for empires. Is is possible that some of these issues are caused by this? I use real combat, but not Byg's mod myself.

    I reinstalled 6.1 without BGR and RR 'cause I like funny fast game on VH/VH, not a stressful and cautious survival game =))

    By the way, what's that "toggle_fow" anyways?
    It reveals the whole map, just open console by pressing ~ and type this. To turn on fog of war type toggle_fow again.

    Surely this is not the wright place to ask it, but I'd like to use toggle_fow and I cannot find the console. ¿What is the way to make the consol appear?

    Really? Wow! Templars died very early [as per usual with me] in my most recent campaign, turn 25-30ish? Norway followed suit with the death of faction leader and heir same turn, i think, turn 30 - 35ish. Portugal kicked the bucked at about turn 50.

    It depends on your keyboard setup, on english keyboards it's ' key , I think on US keyboards it's the @ key, just go into the game and try all the keys or check keyboard keys under options menu.

    I use toggle_fow all the time to check on faction development for Ai testing and to check out unexpected events (like capital falls). You can also use it to check the map out for choke points and terrain issues with pathfinding, and of course cheating.

    Maybe it depends on which era you've chosen? I play Late Era and get 3 factions destroyed by rebels, what about other's era choses and game experience?
