    Default Explanation of numbers for heretics?

    So, I'm a bit confused, as usual.

    <max_heretics_per_region uint="1"/>
    Presumably means no more than 1 heretic at a time per region?

    <max_heretics uint="80"/>
    Is this the max number of heretics in the world at a time, total?

    <max_heretics_conversion_modifier float="1.0"/>
    Not really sure what this is. And what happens if I make it bigger, as opposed to smaller?

    <heretic_conversion_rate_modifier float="0.0075"/>
    <heretic_conversion_rate_offset float="0.025"/>
    But then there are these too, so now conversion seems to have way too many different variables.

    <heretic_creation_modifier float="0.4"/>
    Something to do with a priest's chance of becoming a heretic, or just of the appearance of heretics in general? And what happens if it goes up instead of down?

    <convert_to_heretic_base_modifier float="10.0"/>
    <convert_to_heretic_unorthodox_modifier float="0.7"/>
    Or maybe these are about priests becoming heretics. But again, is it more likely to happen if the value is higher or lower?

    Would appreciate any light shed on the issue. Can't find a decent explanation of all these anywhere else.

    Thanks!

    So, The first two are pretty straight forward. You are right about the first one, the second is the total number of heretics allowed on the entire map. I don't know about the others, I haven't messed with them.

    What file did you find these in?

    That file would be the descr_campaign_db.XML

    Correct.

    <max_heretics uint="80"/>

    Max heretics present at a time on the map.

    <max_heretics_conversion_modifier float="1.0"/>

    Determines the religious unrest heretics cause. I believe this modifier is based on the two below.

    <heretic_creation_modifier float="0.4"/>
    Something to do with a priest's chance of becoming a heretic, or just of the appearance of heretics in general? And what happens if it goes up instead of down?

    This determines the amount of heretics spawn in a given time frame.

    <convert_to_heretic_base_modifier float="10.0"/>
    <convert_to_heretic_unorthodox_modifier float="0.7"/>
    Or maybe these are about priests becoming heretics. But again, is it more likely to happen if the value is higher or lower?

    You are correct. Heightening this value increase heretics effectiveness.

    Basically this files is pretty straight forward unlike the projectiles file for example. Increasing values in this file actually increases it's property.

    i don't want to open a new thread and my is very close to this.

    i experiment with new religions and now i create a new one "naturalistic" something from the old age. i test it with poland and their priests conversion the region to neturalistic.

    why i do that. i would like create a strat model "priest2", which conversion the regions to naturalistic. this priest should be like the pagan priest or the heretics.

    i give the "naturalistic" religion the normans.

    1. how do i create a priest2 based on the normans?
    2. how do i make, that a priest2 spawn on the map and spread the new religion?
