    i've found this patch, it is made for DLV i think:

    it is named under patch 1.3 and increases lenght of the billmen's weapon...
    the result is very very very nice....the previous weapon was so short and ridiculous imo...now it's more like an halaberd

    the bad news is that 2 of 4 billmen units in england roster (only tried this faction because of high number of billmens) got messed up textures! i think needs some adapting work..... any help on adapting this beautiful mini mod to SS 6.1?

    Actually those extended length weapons were in SS5.1. You could probably use the 5.1 textures and meshes, though the 6.0 billmen models are nicer.

    really? never noticed before.....if they are already "ready to use" can you post the necessary files to add in SS data folder, just to make some tests? don't have 5.1 anymore....

    what other factions have billmens in their roster apart england?

    bills were a variety of pole arms or staff weapons, so many factions have something similar.

    there's a neat list of different pole arms and sketches of their pointed ends here:

    because they are slightly different you'd need different animations for example a simple bill hook is designed to unseat horsemen and so need a dragging anim, whereas a pol axe needs a chopping one; others will need a stabbing one and those weapons which were multi-purpose will need several

    so french voulge militia, french and genoa voulgier, danish obudshaer, danish sword staff militia; fatimid halberd miltia; hre and hungary halberd militia; amongst others will all need specific anims for their precise type of weapon.

    (check the SSUST for complete listing, but it won't show up units whose names don't include the weapon type in a language you may be familiar with.)

    (in practice militia units would probably wield a variety of weapons, rather than all have the same type.)

    The billmen are using the JHI animation, agree it would be great to have more specialised ones.
