    Icon3 Candidate of Constitution Party: Chuck Baldwin

    If you are looking to support a true, pro-life, limited government conservative, check Chuck Baldwin out. If you are a Ron Paul fan, he could be your man.

    Constitution Party platform:

    http://www.constitutionparty.com/party_platform.php

    From his acceptance speech:

    http://primebuzz.kcstar.com/?q=node/11314

    http://www.constitutionparty.com/

    Seven Principles of the Constitution Party are:

    1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
    2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
    3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
    4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
    5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
    6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government is reserved for the state and local jurisdictions;
    7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.
    What do you think, would you vote for Chuck Baldwin, or do you like any of his political stances?

    Terrible. They claim liberty as their second principle yet are utterly homophobic.

    We stand against so-called "sexual orientation" and "hate crime" statutes that attempt to legitimize inappropriate sexual behavior and to stifle public resistance to its expression.
    Sickening.

    I'm against hate crime statutes, but I support gay rights. I'm against abortion, but pro-choice. I consider myself to be a strict constructionist. Not that this has much to do with the thread, but most of the party's ideas are quite sound.

    I might be alright with them if they got rid of their homophobia. PLus were a bit more interventionist. FInally they'd have to realize that the only way to keep the UN weak is to stay in it.

    So you'd be alright with them if they changed their principles?

    Chuck Baldwin's beliefs:

    1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
    "Mindless foetuses are more important than people."

    2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
    "Poor people deserve contempt. They have received God's displeasure for their sinful ways and so should not be helped to improve their lives."

    3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
    "Women must be taught to remember their place.

    And gays are abominations to God and should be killed."

    4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
    "The rich owe no obligation to the country for the opportunities and laws that made their success possible."

    5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
    "Dead slave-owning rich people know what is best for Americans today."

    6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government is reserved for the state and local jurisdictions;
    "The Confederacy should have won the Civil War. They paid for their slaves fair and square."

    7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.

    I've first heard of them in the 2004 election. No-namers full of nostalgia for an idealized past that probably wasn't even there.
    "Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

    I like Baldwin, I read his newsletter every once and while and I generally like what he says. He is very Conservative and a brilliant man.

    “Today, the general will of all nations is calling for fundamental change... The prerequisite to this change is a change in goals, intentions, and directions. If tyrannical goals are repackaged in an attractive and deceptive package and imposed on nations again, the people, awakened, will stand up against them.”
    Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

    Truth is treason in the Empire of Lies.

    The law of our Creator defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman. The marriage covenant is the foundation of the family, and the family is fundamental in the maintenance of a stable, healthy and prosperous social order. No government may legitimately authorize or define marriage or family relations contrary to what God has instituted. We are opposed to amending the U.S. Constitution for the purpose of defining marriage.
    Contrary to.....

    Religious Freedom
    Article I of the Bill of Rights reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
    How can they respect religious freedom when they clearly favor God throughout everything they stand for. Bloody Hypocrites.

    Not by much though.

    I hope Ron Paul is nothing like this guy, or I've seriously misjudged that man...

    What is spoken there is quite idiotic, and backwards, I hope Ron Paul isn't saying these things..

    The viciousness of the meaning behind their phrases is evident.
