    Default A little confused...

My ordered copy of BI has FINALLY arrived (thats the last time I order from amazon...) and after spending a couple of hours getting used to vanilla BI I went to download IBFD....but I can't tell on the download links page which one is IBFD, as none of them are named as such, i.e they all appear to be links to the submods. A little help?

Sure Jingle_Bombs(like your name) the Moma , the original IBFD 7.3 is now INVASIO BARBARORVM : RUINA ROMAE

Names were changed to better reflect the eras but it also causes confusion as such

The Moma: INVASIO BARBARORVM : RUINA ROMAE

lol, I inderstand your confusion, man; but don't worry, I'll help you. The 'generic' name for this group of mods is Invasio Barbarorum (IB); so we have 3 IB mods and one more on its way. The mother (or father, depending on your taste) is IB Ruina Romae which starts in 410 AD and deals with the barbarian invasions just 4 years after it happened, I'm almost sure that's the IBFD that you're looking for. The second one would be Rio's mod which now is IB Flagellum Dei (the current IBFD) and the thrid one is Julianus' mod (somnium apostatae juliani) More questions feel free to ask.

    Gee! Rio beat me!

Ta fellas! thanks for clearing that up for me. Been looking forward to this mod since I read the Empire of the West AAR.

I had the exact same dilemma, now to get a little more clarification, which mod is the most developed, which might is close to a major release(as to wait) and what's the relationship and differences between the mods?

Ruina Romae = the father of the others, starts in 410
Imperium Julianorum = starts in 361 or 355, focuses more on the roman empire (with new units and skin and other changes) and on the last pagan emperor, Julian the Apostate; the map is the same of RR but with 2 different factions.
Rio's IBFD = starts in 463 or 462, different map (larger in size but cut off much of the East, to focus more on Europe), many new skins and units and a lot of differences on the economical and military side, big focus on Britain.

I can't say the one which is most developed, but Imperium Julianorum should be the one with a closer major release.

I guess it comes down to which period appeals the most!
