He should just nominate Jeb Bush, it'll make it that much more amazing when the Democrats manage to mess up one of the most easily winnable elections ever for their party and hand him a victory on a silver platter.
It’s funny how you should mention Jeb Bush, I was watching a News programme a couple of months ago about G.W Bush’s legacy and one of the commentators stated that he has probably burnt all the bridges of the Bush dynasty and that the public would never elect another Bush.
I’m not going to judge Jeb based on his brothers record but I’m curious, how is Jeb viewed in America? Id he seen as much like his brother or his he is own man?
John "I'm so confused i cant tell apart sunni and shia" McCain can't win this election, not even if he starts laying golden eggs and hands them out to the populace at his rallies.
Heres an idea. The loser of the Dem primary.![]()
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
I'm curious about whom Obama "I can't recognize raw hatred for 20 years" will pick?
Jim Webb would be an astute pick, I think.
For the Republican VP, I'm thinking Mitt Romney. We all know what his true politics are. Those Massachusetts Republican ex-governors are stroooong conservatives.
Actually, I'm not sure yet. I'd like to see his short list.
Conservatives don't pick up their marbles and go home generally, they will vote Republican at the end of the day. Conservatives might wince at someone they suspect is actuallypro-life, but we just need to grab some of the middle. The President can't snap his fingers and end abortion, it's the law of the land.
How about Lieberman?![]()

He has always said he does not plan to. Its the closest he comes to being a politician. Politician : One who tells half truths to gain support or cover their butt.but didn't Ron Paul already say he wouldn't run as an independant

Wesley Clark been supportive of Hillary. I didn't know that he was evening considering a VP position. I think someone like Joe Biden or Christopher Dodd would make a good running mate for Obama. They have lots of Washington experience to help offset the effects of going up against a more experience candidate in John Mccain.

The problem with picking a long serving senator is it ruins Obama's claims to be the beacon of change, the reformist, the guy who isn't mixed up in Washington politics, the outsider. Also, it wouldn't help with the two biggest supposed Obama weakeness, lack of excutive and military experience. Which is why a govenor seems likely, as they are from outside Wastington and they would have excutive experience. If Obama could find the right general, that would work well. Clark is, and has long been, a strong Clinton supporter. Him crossing over to join Obama seems unlikely, though it is possible.
As for McCain... Jindal seems to be the strongest canidate. Rommey would play well with heavy Conservatives, but they are already going to put up with McCain over a democrat, so it doesn't have an advantage. And they really don't like each other. Why would you pick someone you don't like who doesn't help you? Brilliant that would be.
Huckabee would kill McCain. As much as he gets along with McCain and they find each other likable and whatnot, he is political dead weight outside of the deep south. He would really hurt McCain amoung independents, where McCain needs to run strong.
Any of the other failed Republican candiates for the nomination are equally flawed for various reasons. Crist, along with several other young, Republican governors, seem to be thrown around alot. Crist seems to be played out the most, but as a Florida resident, I can promise you he leaves alot to be desired. McCain ripped quite a few things Crist has done when he was down here, Crist supported him anyways. But the canidate I see as adding the most to a McCain ticket is Jindal. But he might just be the flavor of the week.

Unlike Obama and Clinton, she has actually ran something, in her life.
Neither Obama nor Hillary have worked at a real job in their lives.

I'd like if they did what they're supposed to do and run as the VP of the opposite party's nomination. That way, the 1st and 2nd most wanted people are in the white house..
Well, none of these candidates are actually 'wanted' and a "None of the Above" would win hands down. I personally think we need another general in the white house - who else would be qualified for commander in cheif?
Lawyers and politicians? Hell no, they're the 2 most universally hated professions in the country.

Theres a reason we scrapped that. If the President and Vice President hated each other, as Adams and Jefferson did, then the government simply cannot run efficiently. It would not do to have the Vice-President spreading lies about the President, or vice-versa.
As to the topic, I would like a former general personally...
i dont hate lawyers or politicians, only dittoheads say ditto to that.

Well you should. By the way most politicians are just succesful lawyers and in reality its lawyers who write the laws not congressmen.i dont hate lawyers or politicians,

Key word is "should". I have no idea who it will actually be. I have a hunch that it will be someone that hasn't gotten all that much publicity. Romney is a possibility but Mccain and Romney never seemed to get along very much... Is Huckabee interested in being the VP? They seemed to get along better.
