    Default The Garbage of Naples

Just saw some BBC. Naples has a huge garbage problem. It's literally piled and lining the streets, with angry citizens setting it on fire. The government's promises to alleviate the problem are several months mouldier than the garbage is, and waste management is run by -surpise- the Mafia, who make a killing from making the world , as always.
I've only been to Rome, but if we could have a simple answer, I'd say; round up the mobsters, jail them, fire the poltical whores, and get that garbage cleaned up.

In contrast to the efforts of tiny Israel to make contributions to the world so as to better mankind, one has to ask what have those who have strived to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth done other than to create hate and bloodshed.

Then the 95% of the world would be left dead and uninhabitable.

The problem, according to a friend of mine living in Naples, is the citizens of the region rejected through several referendums the proposal to build incinerators. Apparently they were worried about the ecological impact. Go figure!

The Mafia is only taking advantage of the current situation. If the people accept the building of the incinerators the problem is solved and the Mafia would only be involved as investors in the incinerators if anything.

    Lol!

Thats hilarious, yet sad at the same time!

Seriously though, is Napoli really that dirty, and filled with garbage? Don't they have a waste field nearby?

    Yes.

So getting off the train station and walking towards the city, there was wet cardboard, newspapers, and plastic bags all over the ground in the street and sidewalks. Apparently - according to the hostel owner - the people who hawk their wares every day just leave the garbage lying around when they leave for the day.

Naples was the dirtiest city I had ever visited - not just from trash lying around, but also from the amount of gray dirt covering all the buildings and the abandoned vehicles I ran into.

I just assumed it was the mob preventing any cleaning money from being effectively used, just like how they have permanent construction projects where they pocket money rather than do the work.
