hre?to weak even with strong and big armies

im playing with norway and just invaded hre i took hamburg,frankfurt and magdeburg,soon the imperial armies were al my gates but all they did was wonder around,why didn't they siege any of my settlements,im in war with them for like 30 turns,they have the armies and power to destroy me but they aren't doing anything can someone help me,is this a bug? HELP

my generals arent srong or scary al all,ok maybe the dread,because i never offer ransoms for prisoners,i execute all the prisoners,i dont care who they are

hey there I'm not sure if this is a bug this also happend woith me in my game. I was Novgorod however since I was using Istvan and he had that feard by the germans trait there armies would stay away from any army he was in command of even if they were an even match for him.
maybe you have generals that scare them so they dont attack they dont want to die. of course this could just be a bug also. sorry I wanst much help.

Your generals dread actually influences whether the AI will attack you or not? Never heard of that....

I'm not sure if it does all I know is that in my last campiange the HRE stayed away from that general unless I attacked them he could be standing next to one of there armies and they would just go around him or retreat. I assumed it was cause they were afraid of him because of that trait and his dread.

I've noticed this also with Scotland, England never attacked me unless i attacked them first.

Well atleast they where right to fear my armies because they just couldn't match the sheer numbers, but my generals are usually "Chivalrous in rule" or a "Bastion of chivalry" so i dont think its dread, its just something new to 6.0 it seems.

You sure you didn't have vastly superior units/numbers in the garrison compared to the wandering armies?

I don't seem to have this problem at all.

no their armies were bigger and stronger,their in war with poland,but poland poses lesser threat then me,the polish have only one army left wich is formed out of 4 units only
