Disabling in-battle cut scenes.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figured I should ask here in case I had to modify a SS specific file as I only play SS now.

Is there a way to disable the in-battle cut scenes? I mean the ones that cut to a ram breaking through a gate, or a general getting killed. It's a pain when I lose units because I lost control of a cavalry charge etc... to show me the same scene I've seen hundreds of times.

Go here:

C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6

and open the stainless_steel_kingoms.cfg and edit the line under

[game]
event_cutscenes = 0

Much appreciated Good Sir! I had changed it in the base MTW2 config but it didn't work, I hadn't notice the SS specific config.

In the medieval2.preferences.cfg file there is an option for turning off event cutscenes. Change:

event_cutscenes = 1

to

event_cutscenes = 0

The original .cfg file didn't seem to disable those for me...only worked when I changed it in the SS configuration file... :hmmm:
