I have x2 on with a 7900GS, 2Gb RAM and an Athlon 64 3500. Everything seems to run fine with almost all details on high and v.high.

AMD 9850 quad - 8800GT - 2Gb RAM. My settings are on High or Highest and the system defaulted to x4 AF, but I have absolutely no idea what it does - lol.

AF (Anisotropic Filtering) improves texture quality at certain viewing angles. Most noticeably it improves the quality of textures in the distance. I play with 8x as you don't really see much improvement past 8x.

    AF 4x, AA 2x, V-Sync on. Run this on 8600gts, C2D 2.4, 2GB ram. Doesn't lag at all.

AF on 16x but anti-aliasing on 0..I like the jagged edges!
    Other settings on max!

Specs: Intel core2duo 4500, ati sapphire 3870, 2 gb of ram(800mhz)..everything runs smooth!
