Negative Tribute??

A good while ago I made Denmark my vassal as the Norwegians.. Well.. I was getting alot of money from them for awhile, then suddenly it stopped coming in. It wasn't that big of a deal, I had +income by a steady amount anyway. The problem is a few turns later suddenly it became negative. NEGATIVE TEN THOUSAND. How is this even possible?

Did you pay someone in diplomacy for trade or something? Looks like a glitch though.

Nope, if I had paid someone, I would think it would've shown up on the expenditures list. I don't think it should be even possible to get negative, as then that should therefore be in the expenditures list. I'm going to try and break the vassalage to Denmark and see if that fixes this. If it does it means it's probably a hardcode problem, courtesy of CA.

Do you have armies in enemy lands? Your losing 9959 from Diplomacy/Tributes.

No, I don't have any enemies right now, except the Fatimids, and they're awhile away. I know where I'm losing money. It's just the fact I'm losing it in the column where I thought it was only possible to gain it.

Update: Before I had the change to get to the Dens with my only diplomat (I couldn't train one because I was in the negative), I've suddenly started getting $10k in tribute. Seems to me vassalage is bugged (yay).

Final Update: So it said I had positive tribute again, but it turned out to be negative (I got further in the hole). So I ended my vassalage with the Danes. No luck, same money loss. Then I ended my alliance with the French, as they were excommed and maybe the pope was running some script on my funds. No luck. I don't know what the problem is but I can't continue my campaign as I can't build anything.

That is interesting. You loose money if your armies are in enemy land, is that right? That could explain why my economy is so weird. How does it work?

That should only happen in DLV.
