Help With Campaign

I'm trying to start a campaign with the GCS but when I do it brings me back to the selection screen that has campaign, historical, and custom battles??? The Historical and custom battles work perfectly so I don't understand why the campaign isn't working... It says there's a script error in xgm/regions or something like that. And it says it cannot recognize "briton" as a region. HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

Do you already have another mod installed? I had a similar problem a while back when trying RS. Sounds to me like another mod has overwritten the core data files.

Make sure you have a clean install of RTW.

Yeah I was playing RS and I uninstalled RTW before installing XGM. I reinstalled RTW and BI and have it correctly patched so does uninstalling RTW make it a clean copy??? I figured it did???

It should, try reinstalling XGM otherwise.

I have the same problem and I have not installed any other mods to RTW or BI.
I was not able to fix the problem so unfortunately I need to remove XGM although it seems like a wonderful mod.
Is there a clean or unrecommended way to remove XGM?

To remove xgm just delete the xgm folder in your main Rome folder. Usually this kind of problem is the result of the original files being messed up, or RTW not being patched to 1.5/1.6.

Yes i saw the other threats. I was hoping that would be the problem. I have RTW/BI Gold Edition. I did a clean re-install RTW and BI and the problem did no fix itself. I am bummed because XGM looks like the perfect mod for me.

Check your version number - it's shown on the top right of the options menu. Some version of the Gold Edition do not patch the game to 1.5/1.6, so you might need to download the patch and install it.
