can anyone tell me what these mean, the little cross and the muslim crescent moon on some of the rebel cities

I think that's a new mod that provides better identity to different rebels, though I could be wrong. I see something similar in Broken Crescent.

I think it shows the rebel cities relegion. So a rebel cities that has cresents on it wold be a Muslim city and a rebel city with the Cross would be a Christian city.

Yeah but some of the vast majority of one religion cities are normal rebel flags, one city was 45 orthodox 45 muslim and had a cross thing

Maybe it's based on the percantage of each relegion in the region?

no theres some majority orthodox ones with no cross, some majority catholics with a cross, most majority catholic ones are blank and some muslim ones with no crescent
