CRAZY Monaspas!!!

I just did a test battle on gujarati beach(because there setup fields are well divided)
With me(ghazni khurasani heavy spears) vs sindh(jagirdar lancers) that was just because I needed to win so the AI should not mess up the test.

Than AI Ayyubid royal mamluks vs Ai monaspa lancers

But the tes didnt go as presumed, after I defeated the jagirdars(and lost 2 men) I went for the corner of the map, the monaspas didnt attack the mamluks but went for me, so when they arrived they just stood there in wedge in front of my formation waiting(because I was at the corner, and there was no option to flank, BC AI is smart and does not attack pearmen frontally with cav)
At last I lost patience, and charged them(because the memluks just stood there too) and what happened? Well, i lost half my spearmen, while 2 monaspas died(and they didnt even charge) than the monaspas retreated, and the mamluks started moving the monaspas and mamluks clashed head on with both gens dying, and after some time the mamluks were routed, and the monaspas ran head on into my spear formation(not charging) reducing them to 12 men, after that they routed, and the monaspas had an insane kill number of 54 or something.

Note the khurasani heavy spearmen are the best spears in game able to defeat the ere royal cataphracts, and koj templars, however many times they charge.

That was a VERY strange bug, and I tested the smae many times without the same happening, ever again, can anyone explain it?

Have you tried different kinds of spearmen to attack the Monaspas? I'm not that familiar with the later, are they bad mother-lubbers?

I'd say if Guderian was born in 1125 he would command monaspa with same success as panzer formations, as they were panzers of that time

Not that, they normally loose to royal mamluks, and khrasani heavies, but those monaspas killed the mamluks loosing 4 men!!! without their gen, that had died to my spearmen, then went on to massacre over 3/4 of my spearmen, and ive never seen that happen again, its worse than the seljuk sultan guard or khwaz/ere BG.
I ask if anyone can explain that bug, the worst thing ever was 1 unit of sultans guard beating 2 faris heavy axemen units, 1 abbasid BG, and some units militia spears and archers.

Edit: Guderian, they are the absolute BEST spearmen in all BC

I would try this scenario with the Khurasanis, but i'm at uni and left my M2TW disk at home on purpose to do some studying. I'm assuming your using sound tactics? (like good spearmen organisation, a solid line of spears?) How do the Khurasanis perform when they are standing still and facing the enemy when the Cav charge into them?
