    Icon5 Humm... something is wrong

    Hi, i am posting the first time in this forum and first of all: SS 6 is REALLY great.

    But: I am facing two problems with 6.1 (and the additional patch for German sound/ script problems) (while playing HRE...i didn`t try it so far with other factions):

    1. I can`t build ballistas ot better spear- units then spear militia. Also i can`t build catapult. I have the necessary buildings, but i can`t buy the units in the recruiting menu. No matter how long i wait, the units are "disabled" everytime (...you have to wait x rounds before...).

    2. The abilities of the leadres/ generals/ family members change rapidly. It happened that one turni had a familiy member with 5-loyality-points, some in piety and some in command - after one turn ALL dissapeared. I guess this is a bug or i am wrong and this is a "feature"?

    Is someone facing the same problems?

    Did you install the real recruitment mod?

    uh....yes...is that the reason? How can i deinstall it or otherwise...when will the units be available?! (if i dont deinstall)?

    If you have wait 'x' rounds, and that number doesn't change, that is the BGR III mod.

    Any idea how to deinstall the "extra-mods"? It would have been nice, if there were a little description about what the "extra-mods" do.

    Anyway, i reinstall 6.1 "naked" i guess :hmmm:

    In the very first screen after you patch you have a short text that tells you to look at the two links if you don't know what these mods do... :/
    So, you actually had the description only 1 click away.
    I think you have to reapply the patch or even reinstall SS.

    Ok - my fault. I will reinstall SS 6 and play without these mods. Thank you all for replying so quickly.

    Is this also the reason I seem to get 'No more units of this type can be recruited' all the time? I've checked EDB and you can have 4 Templar guard, but after I've recruited 1 and then disbanded it I still get the message when moving the cusrsor over the unit card. Seems at odds with the '2 turns until next available' line :hmmm:

    I have this same problem that the elite units NEVER become available. How do I fix this? I am sure I meet all the "zeal" etc... requirements but still can not recruit?

    is it possible to get 6.1 with real combat BUT without real recruitment?

    Gonna wait for point_blank for definitive answer, but I don't believe that is possible. Real recruitment seems to be integrated with RC1.5. Your only option would be to use RC1.4.

    You could just only use the EDU included with RR and nothing else. I did it with 5.1 with no issues. Edit the costs and build times as you see fit. It's your game. I'm used to RR for 6.1 now and I like it. I don't use BYG III, however.

    Yes, if you do not remember unticking the box that said something about the "real recruitment" mod when you were installing 6.1

    Pont Blank needs to clear things up around the forum.
    RR does not insert the use of "zeal" to your game, that is byg's mod III.
    You people should start to read what you download some time.

    Real recruitment is in all likelyhood not causing any of your problems. BGRIII is in almost all cases whats causing the effect you dont like. For me, it was that the unit pool for some units never refilled. Even when a king in good standing, or other war council member without the specified negative traits that would stop it, i could not get elite units pools to fill.

    I suggest doing what i'm doing right now. Remove your SS folder, reinstall it. Untick BYG's mod.

    I agree 100%. The problems are with BGRIII and not with RR.

    Im having the same problem about recruitment, it says disabled every turn, but I only installed Real Recruitment, just that mini mod.
