when i try and install the 6.1 patch it tells me that i need to pick the specific location... ie D:/ medieval (or somethin like that). unfortunately for me i installed medieval, and ss simply in d drive

(c drive is full). this just means when i try and install the patch, it wont. i didnt create a folder for medieval and its just purely in d drive which means the installer wont let me patch my version

what do i do? apologies for knowing squat about computers

Can't you just point the installer to just D:\ ?

nope. it doesnt work. i get an error message

you must enter a full path with drive letter; for example:

C:\APP

or a UNC path in the form:

\\server\share

when i browse and select D it tries to create a D:\new folder file... should i send it there?

Ok just direct the patch installer to an arbitrary directory and then just copy the patch files into the directory where you have M2TW installed manually. The right files will get overwritten and the patch should be installed
