Default A group of Native Hawiians in Hawaii declare independence from the USA!

Stunning news! Just 2 days ago, a group of Native Hawaiian men went into the historic Iolani Palace and locked the gates to prevent anyone from going in. Inside the palace, the group of men have created a declaration of independence from the USA. It is said that the new government is already at work. Will the USA lose their 50th state?

It seems that the majority of the populace of Hawaii doesn't support this. So they loose and FAIL.

Also, this gives an opportunity for China to start firing back at the US. I guess China is not the only country that has internal problems.

Well i guess it comes down to how much local support they have. If they have alot, they must be crushed (*Heinz makes a fist)

    Hmm...

I didn't read anything about the US police storming the museum and beating the inhabitants.

Yep its just like Tibet, well except for a lack of police brutality, the fact that only a time number want independence, and how the government worked with the protesters. Actually its nothing like Tibet.

Well, considering that the Tibetan protest was organized by either Dalai Lama or the CIA, this declaration is way more effective. But, overall, the US should be concerned because this declaration shows a sign of instability.

And notice no news blackout on the whole thing. Guess its time to make the call to all Americans on the batphone that if they are outside the US dust off their flags and start protesting and kicking people oh and of course cry RACISM every chance they get/

Also, this gives an opportunity for China to start firing back at the US.
No it doesnt because the events are about as similar as an apple and a hamburger but then I dont expect that facts will get in the way of China or its flag wavers.

Farnan my bro, how in the seven hells did you get a picture of high-stepping marching commie babes, and where can I get some?
I don't understand how this is being compared to Tibet. I don't understand how this is protrayed as 'instability'. Is this thread serious?
No, the OP has Western envy. Can't say as I blame him, since everything about the West beats china hands down.

So a group of wackos "declare independance"

The difference? We didn't kill them. You tried to make a point and make the USA look tyrannical, the fact is we just aren't.

Ok lets get this straight for the millionth time.

    1. The Chinese police didn't kill the Tibetan protesters. It was the Nepalese police that did. Also, not only did the Chinese police NOT kill the protesters, they even helped the wounded on ambulances and to the hospitals.
    2. The reason why the US didn't kill the men was because the men weren't doing anything violent like attacking the embassy like what the Tibetans did. If the men did something like that, the anti-riot police would have the right to suppress them. But, I can assure you that the police will charge into the palace and arrest the men for treason against the US very soon.
    3. The Nepalese police in Tibet had all the right to suppress the Tibetan protesters because the Tibetan protesters were killing and beating up the Han Chinese citizens living there and they were vandalizing and destroying public buildings and shops.
Thank you for making for me say these things AGAIN.

    Sounds familiar.
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors.

I know where you come from that whole will of the people/democracy thing seems foreign, so I'll cut you some slack on missing the fact that these people represent an extreme minority.

I don't think you'll see us going all Tibet on Hawaii. We'll leave that stuff to the glorious PRC.

Oh but this topic has nothing to do with Tibet. It's just that the other members went off topic and dragged me along with them into the whole Tibetan propoganda again.

The Lakota Sioux tried this a while back and managed to hold the interest of the media for about five minutes. I doubt these guys will break that record.

So if I and a group of 20 people re-establish the Orange Free State and the government in the cape promptly defends thier soveringty with popular support does that mean South Africa is conducting another Tibet?
