    Default New faction problem

    Well, I am creating a faction from cratch, and when I start my mod, 5 seconds later it crashes.

    Expected faction or culture type, or 'all' - faction or culture type could be wrong; terminate list with comma; enclose list in {}

    here is my problem. The thing is enclosed in {} and does have a comma. The problem is that it is only fixed when I get rid of my faction name, and then the next thing with the faction in it is a problem. Any suggestions?

    Well, I fixed about 80 problems in files starting with the fact that in the sm_factions thing I had the wrong name for my faction, but now the log is not telling me anything useful!

    Did you read this when you started? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=79274. If you didn't, probably the best help I can give you right now.

    Since this does concern modding and the ctd's that go with it, you may want to ask the modding forums. Many of them rarely make it here.

    That is the tut I used and it does not solve my problem. I used to be able to fix eerything, but now the log is not telling me to fx anything!

    HistroyDude, if you could play before you tried adding the faction, then the problem is not for this technical forum. Your problem is modding and you need to talk to the modders there. They have probably a list of things to look for in your files that you missed. I wouldn't know because I haven't tried adding factions even though I have played mods that have.
