Default Time to an empire ?

Hi all and especially to SS team,
It seems hillarous to me that after conquered a large empire your faction leader still a king or a duke. Can you guys make something that after you reached a certain number of provinces , your faction will be "promoted" .For example , from a small kingdom, after you expand and reach like 30 provinces, you'll now called an empire and your faction leader is now an emperor. How about a scottish empire ?, a Lithuana Emperor ?, a venetian emperor ?.
Same thing if a faction lose too much territory, they will be "demote". I know that's not historically accurated, but it'll add more freedom to the gameplay.
Thanks and sorry for my english.

The official FAQ says under the title "Role Play Elements", that you get

"Crowns for faction leaders that have conquered historical biggest empires"

I think it comes as a retinue, but never got any crown yet, has anybody?

got the "king of all britain" crown shortly after finishing off ireland and scotland as the english.

unfortunatly, i didnt realize that it wouldnt automatically go to my king's successor when he died... so i didn't transfer it to my heir and lost it when my king died

it was pretty sweet though, something like +4 authority, +3 command, +3 piety. really wish id known it would disappear, id have made sure my heir got it.

I don't think its possible. You could give them a "king of XXXX" trait or retinue item, but you can't change it where it says "king so-and-so the smacktard" midgame.

British isles: okay that's quite clear which regions, but for HRE which were the exact regions that you owned when you got the crown?

Yes there are crown as ancillaries for England, France, HRE, Russia, Scandinavia and Byzantium. As to where you have to conquerer, well the fun is in finding out.

As to Emperor, :hmmm:could be done using a counter on number of settlements and could then use swap banner and faction name. Added to 'to do list'.

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.

If you could do this Quark it would be great. It would really add to my campaign.

If you are England, and you conquer the british isles and you have <8 ancillaries you get the crown when you become Faction leader and are in a settlement to recieve it. The 8 limit is hard coded, nothing I can do about that, but I am freeing up space from leaders ancillaries by passing them on to trusted generals.

As to a crown for Hungary, well I tend to write this stuff for my game and then KK chooses what he likes. I have not created such yet, but thats only because I got distracted by learning another modding trick. Happy to add such to the list. Just post the historical game regions required >=8 (do not want to make it to easy), and a link to a good picture and I will add into game files for later updates.

Same goes for any other faction that is historical (I love roleplaying, but not in Total War, so no fantasy crowns).

Yes, yes, yes! That would be so great!

The facts can be found here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Crown_of_Hungary

the historical game regions required would be definitely:

    1. Carpathian Basin (Buda)
    2. Baranya (Székesfehérvár)
    3. Dalmatia (Zagreb)
    4. Tranyslvania (Satu Mare)
    5. Brasov (Bran)
    6. Bessarabia (Iasi)
    7. Muntenia (Bucharest)
    8. Belgrade (Raska)

    Link to a good picture:

My public profile picture. This is a correct picture of the Crown however.

Fortunately, we still got it in the parliament, and here is a link to a good photo of the Holy Crown.

Note that the cross is skew, but don't bother yourself with this, as this is how it looks like - due to some crazy king who fell off his horse.

edit: 4. Tranyslvania (Satu Mare) not 4. Satu Mare (Tranyslvania )

Good stuff , will update 6.1 stuff over weekend and wait for patch. As soon as out will post. Only concern is Byg III mod as it uses own ancillaries file. If you need that I can update that as well as straightforward.

In my current AAR I'm hoping to conquer all of Iberia, will I get the crown of Spain, as it was when Aragon and Castille united?
